Is Pyaar Impossible another debacle for Yashraj Films? Well, after seeing its collection, it seems so. The movie’s performance at box office over the weekend was dull; it grossed only Rs 3.75 crore approx. However, the first day for the movie was good and it collected around Rs 1 crore and picked up well on Saturday and Sunday. But over the subsequent days the romantic tale of a geek and a beauty couldn’t work wonders at box office. The first week is expected to earn an average Rs 5.50 crore.
Another release, Dulha Mil Gaya also received a poor response from the audience. The movie collected approx Rs 1.75 crore in its first weekend and continues a poor run at the box office.
Meanwhile, the triumphant run of 3 Idiots continues unabated at the box office. The movie has rocketed to become one of the biggest blockbusters of Bollywood with a humungous collection of over Rs 157 crore approx in 18 days. The movie is expected to earn around Rs 30 crores in its third week and can easily cross Rs 200 crore mark. All is well!
This Friday’s major release is the Shahid Kapoor-Genelia D’Souza starrer Chance Pe Dance.
